Strengths:Charismatic: Rick has a strange sense of charm. He's very group oriented and is focused on what those around him needs and what will help the group he's in succeed in whatever goals they might have. He has an uncanny ability to make people want to believe in him and trust him. He very rarely focuses inward and spends his time tending to the flock in a manner of speaking.
Calm: One of his biggest strengths is that even when he's experiencing a spike of emotion he does manage to stay calm most of the time. It is a rare occasion when he actually loses his temper. His ability to think with a cool head often allows him to stop tense situations from escalating and becoming deadly, or more deadly as some cases may be.
Pragmatic: For the most part, Rick is a realist. He doesn't deal in dreams or what ifs. He prefers to make solid plans that have realistic means of succeeding. Rick approaches problems and everything in life with a humble sensibility that is the underpinnings of everything that he's able to accomplish.
•
Weaknesses:Naive: Something that Rick can never quite kick even in later seasons is a sense of naivety. He will always think he can find the best in someone. Even when he has no reason to believe it he gives people a chance when they clearly don't deserve one.
Inflexible: Rick is slow to accept new ideas and situations and at times that causes him to adapt to them more slowly creating more harm than good. He's hesitant to instantly go to new strategies even if they might make more sense and prefers to stick to old plans that have always worked for him in the past.
Emotional: Rick is more often than not pretty good at critically thinking and accessing situations. However, when his family or those he deeply cares for are threatened he will throw logic out the door and react erratically. He is also sometimes prone to giving into depression and losing his way for sustained periods of times.
•
Nightmares: It's happened to Rick more than a few times but people dying because of him is one of his biggest nightmares. He feels responsible for the people who follow him and that he should be able to save everyone even if he's come to terms with the fact that he can't do that. His other biggest nightmare would be anything bad happening to his kids and being unable to protect them from it.
